The “Precautionary Boil Water Notice” issued on October 9, 2024, is rescinded (cancelled) for Gasparilla Island and Boca Grande in response to the loss of pressure during Hurricane Milton.

This notice is for all affected customers that receive their water from GIWA within the boundary area specified above and received a precautionary boil water notice on October 9, 2024.

All bacteriological samples have satisfactorily passed and the water is safe to drink. In accordance with regulatory agency protocols the rescission is in effect immediately and no further instructions will be necessary.
